Christian Dating

Should Christians date non-Christians? This has been a hot button for many Christians from generation to generation.

For one, there seems to be a lack of available Christian men in the church. It is said to be seven women to one man. In the church it is more like 20 sisters to one brother. More and more women are putting their careers ahead of family and thus waiting longer to get married, while the jail house is home to many of our men from the age of 18 to 35 years old. This sad fact leaves a very real shortage of suitable (gainfully employeed) mates and a pool of women made desparate by ticking biological clocks.

So what's a sister to do? Well many are looking outside the church for a suitable mate. However, the Bible is clear that Christians should not be unequally yoked...what has light to do with darkness. Some believe that the incompatibility of these relationships, which may not be evident at first, is a shipwreck waiting to happen and usually leads to a maritial life of unhappiness and divorce. Is it possible to love a man or woman fully without a true revelation of God's love? Many don't think so.

What about you, should Christians date non-Christians?
